What is WWPV-LP FM?
WWPV-LP is the Saint Michael’s College radio station. Its broadcast frequency is 92.5 FM The “LP” stand for low power, we have a power output of 100 watts. The station is licensed to the SMC Board of Trustees. Funding from the station comes primarily from the Student Association. Additional funding is occasionally provided by underwriters and private donors.
Who is WWPV?
WWPV is made up of over 100 disc jockeys who are governed by the Executive Board. The E-Board is the direct liaison between the students, the administration, and the Federal Communications Commission.
Mission Statement
“WWPV is a college radio station. It has four purposes. The first is to give its staff and volunteer disc jockeys experience working within the field of radio. The second is to serve the people within broadcast range with public service information and be an engine for social service organizations. The third is to provide the Burlington market with different varieties of music, allowing all types of genres to be played. The fourth purpose of WWPV is to be an outlet for new music from many music genres.”
Can I listen to WWPV in the car?
